Zhu Shengxin is an Associate Professor in Mechanics, at Institute of Advanced Structure Technology, Beijing Institute of Technology.
He earned a Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics from Hohai University. From 2018 to 2021, he conducted postdoctoral research at Institute of Advanced Structure Technology, Beijing Institute of Technology. His research focuses on dynamic failure mechanics, particularly the dynamic mechanical behavior and failure mechanisms of advanced materials and structures, as well as experimental methods in impact dynamics.
He has published over 20 SCI-indexed papers in international journals across the fields of mechanics, energy, and composite materials, with more than 500 citations. Additionally, he has applied for six invention patents. He has served as the principal investigator for projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation Youth Project and the National Key Laboratory Stable Support Project.
Zhu Shengxin has a special interest in dynamical failure solid mechanics, including experiment technique, constitutive relations, failure mechanism, and frictional rupture under high-strain rate condition.
