Zhao Zeang is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Advanced Structure Technology at Beijing Institute of Technology.
Dr. Zhao completed his PhD in Peking University in 2019, and obtained his BEng from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 2014. He joined Beijing Institute of Technology as an associate professor in 2022. Dr. Zhao’s research interests include the mechanics and control of shape-morphing structures and flexible robotic structures. He has published over 60 academic papers in peer-reviewed journals including Sci. Adv., J. Mech. Phys. Solid., Addit. Manuf, with total citations over 2500 and an H-index of 22. He was selected as the Stanford/Elsevier Top 2% Scientists in both 2023 and 2024. He has presided over several national projects including 3 funds from the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Dr. Zhao serves as committee member of the smart composites professional committee of the Chinese Society for Composite Materials, and junior editorial board member for Soft Science.
