Xiao Dengbao is an Associate Professor in Solid Mechanics, at the Institute of Advanced Structure Technology, Beijing Institute of Technology. 

He obtained his Ph.D. in Aerospace Science and Technology from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 2017. Following that, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Institute of Advanced Structure Technology, Beijing Institute of Technology (2017-2019), and since been he has been serving as an Associate Professor at the same Institute. He has hosted and participated in multiple research projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Key R&D Program of China.

His research interests span the fields of mechanical structure/mechanism lightweight design under additive manufacturing constraints, impact dynamic behavior analysis based on artificial intelligence, and advanced experimental testing methods.
