Li Huimin is the Associate Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor at the Institute of Advanced Structure Technology, Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT). He obtained a Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering from Jilin University in 2006, a Master's degree in Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation from Jilin University in 2009, and a PhD in Materials Science from Beihang University in 2015. He worked as a senior assistant at the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences from 2009 to 2010. From 2015 to 2018, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Institute of Advanced Structure Technology, BIT. From April 2018 to present, he has been engaged in teaching and research at the Institute of Advanced Structure Technology, BIT.

He is the recipient of the "Excellent Doctoral Dissertation on Chinese Composite Materials" from the Chinese Society of Composite Materials, a member of the Vehicle Engineering Composite Materials Professional Committee, the Composite Materials Structural Design Professional Committee, and the Aerospace Composite Materials and Applications Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Composite Materials, among other social part-time positions. He has been committed to the research of lightweight design, process manufacturing, performance evaluation, and engineering applications of composite materials and structures, and has rich experience in basic scientific research and engineering technology breakthroughs. He has published over 40 SCI papers as the first/corresponding author in journals such as J Mech Phys Solids, Composite Sci Technol, Int J Plasticity, and Composites Part B.
