Professor Chen Haosen received his Ph.D. in Solid Mechanics from Tsinghua University in 2015. His research focuses on solid mechanics. He serves as the Chief Scientist of a National Key Research and Development Program, and holds positions such as Board Member of the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (CSTAM).

He has published over 100 SCI papers in leading journals, including Journal of the Mechanics and Physics of Solids, Physical Review Letters (Editors’ Suggestions), Advanced Materials, and Angewandte Chemie International Edition. His publications have been cited over 3,000 times, with several papers recognized as ESI Highly Cited Papers. His research findings have been applied in CATL and BYD. His team was awarded the First Prize in the National Advanced Energy Storage Technology Innovation Challenge (one of five nationwide).

He has been invited to deliver a 30-minute opening keynote talk at the "Chemo-mechanics and Materials for Energy Conversion and Storage" Symposium during the 26th International Congress of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (ICTAM2024) held in Daegu, Korea. He has been awarded the China Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award in Mechanics, the Youth Science and Technology Award of the CSTAM, and the 17th China Youth Science and Technology Award.
